Policies/Terms of Use
1. At no point
will your e-mail address or contact information ever be sold or
communicated to any individuals outside of our organization. All
contact information is kept confidential. At no point will you be
added to a mailing list, and at no point will you ever receive any sort of
advertisements from our company.
2. All
correspondence between writing consultants and students is screened and
archived in our office.
3. Parents
and/or teachers are required to monitor any and all correspondence that
passes between their children and their writing consultant.
4. Copies of mail cannot be sent to parents’
e-mail addresses, or to any other e-mail addresses.
Your writing consultant's mail will only be sent to the address from which
the student or parent last wrote. See our Submission
Procedures (item number 5) for more details as to the rationale behind
this policy.
5. Writing consultants will
honor any and all parent/teacher requests in regard to the student's
writing instruction, so long as such requests do not violate any
WriteGuide, Inc. company policy.
6. All WriteGuide,
Inc. writing consultants respond to student and parent e-mail within 24
hours of receiving the e-mail. The only exceptions to this are
weekends, holidays, and unpredictable emergencies (power outages, personal
emergencies, etc.).
7. Because our
office system ensures that writing consultants respond to all student mail
within 24 hours, at no point should you ever wait more than 24 hours for a
piece of mail. If 24 hours pass and you haven't received a response,
you should e-mail our office immediately. Our office system tracks
all student and consultant mail, and we can forward you a copy of any mail
you may have misplaced or deleted. Programs will not be extended if
you wait to hear from your writing consultant. It is your
responsibility to contact our office if for any reason you can't find your
writing consultant's response. Our office staff can also forward you
copies of past e-mails should you need them for any reason.
8. Writing
consultant do not ever need to become aware of a student's or parent's
personal contact information (address and phone numbers). Students
and families should therefore not attempt to send such information to
their writing consultants. All such information will be removed
from student e-mail when it is screened by our office. Likewise, no
personal e-mail addresses, phone numbers, or physical addresses of
WriteGuide.com writing consultants will ever become known to students and
parents.
9. Refunds may be
requested within 30 days of ordering your course. Refunds will be
calculated based on the amount of time that has elapsed in your course,
minus a $10.00 service charge. Refunds must be requested via
e-mail, or by phone, while the course is still in session, or before it
begins. Refunds will not be granted if your course ends and you have
not requested a refund before the course's expiration. All refunds
will be delivered via company check. Refunds will not be granted for
the Introduction to Grammar Course if the student enrolled is under the
age of 12 years old (the Course Description clearly states that the course
is for students who are at least 12 years old).
10. At no point
will a writing consultant speak to a student or parent on the phone, or
meet in person. All correspondence and programs are carried out
entirely via e-mail.
11. Students may
not send pictures of themselves to writing consultants.
12. Writing
consultants will not comment on a student's or parent's religious or
political beliefs, though they may certainly assist students with papers
which deal with religious and/or political subjects.
13. Time
lost through any WriteGuide.com program may not be made up at the end of
the course. Each course lasts a certain amount of time, and that
time begins to elapse on the day you first hear from your writing
consultant. If you take a break from the course (as in the case of a
vacation or emergency), you can not "tack" that time on to the
end of the course. We offer courses of varying lengths of time so
you can plan the course around your schedule.
14.
WriteGuide.com is closed on the following holidays.
15. Any
WriteGuide.com course that encompasses the nine days during the Christmas
holiday will have those nine days "tacked" onto the end of the
program. Other holidays (Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Labor
Day, etc.) are not added to the end of your program.
